Before you buy Bird's Nest, check the following:

• Ask whether the Bird's Nest is free from preservatives, flavoring or coloring and most important whether it is certified by Agri-Food (AVA). (FYI - Some suppliers used bleaching agent to make the Bird's Nest whiter)
• Make sure that the Bird's Nest is not spread with water. Water content causes the Bird's Nest to look bigger and weight more. Therefore, you are getting less per tale.
• Feather free
• Bird's Nest is divided into grade. Higher grade longer strain and more expensive. For consumption there is no different on grade, that why I advice people to buy lower grade for consumption and higher grade for gift.
